With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verda Leonard (Danville, Virginia), who passed away on February 21, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Hattie Mae Hawker and John Wall Dodson; her son Randall Steven Abbott; and her siblings, Eunice Hair, Erma Adkins, Audrey Kinder, Hattie Baynes, Catherine Lacy, Kenneth Dodson, Roy Dodson and Henry Dodson.

She is survived by : her daughter-in-law Amy Plymale Abbott; and her granddaughter Chelsea Porter (Luke) of Rougemont, NC.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
