She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Cliff Tatum and Vertie Neely Tatum; her husband Curtis Edward Aherron; and her siblings, Leonard Tatum, William Duke Tatum, Lonnie Wayne Tatum and Brenda T. Worsham.

She is survived by: her children, Curtis Wayne Aherron of Danville, VA, Michael Ray Aherron (Vicky) of Danville, VA and Sandra Lee Aherron Cobb (Chris) of Myrtle Beach, SC; and her siblings, Odell T. Carter of Graham, NC and Walter John Tatum (Jeanette). She is also survived by four grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
