She was predeceased by : her parents, Kermit Farmer and Johnie Ann Riddle Farmer; and her sister-in-law Shelia Farmer. She is survived by : her siblings, John Farmer, Larry Farmer (Vera), Susan Dooley, Elsie Ann Farmer, Nancy F. Jennings (Jimmy) and Tim Farmer; and her nieces and nephews, Sherri Lynn Cain (David), Brian Farmer (Avery), Chris Farmer (Charli), Carolyn Ann Phelps (Bentlee), Joann Jennings, Johnie Lee Dooley (Ami), Shannon Fields (Kevin), Thomas Moore, Jr., Lexus, Jamir and Stella.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Danville-Pittsylvania Cancer Association.
