He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy "Dot" Vaden Oglesby; his parents, Daniel Oglesby and Beeda Oglesby; and his siblings, Hermon, Clarence Oglesby, Helen Jarman and Grace Poyner.

He is survived by: his son Vincent "Boyce" Oglesby, Jr. (Linda) of Apex, NC; his grandsons, Michael Oglesby (Lauren) of Cary, NC and Samuel Oglesby (Rachel) of Durham, NC; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Goodman of Danville and Sylvia Vaden of Nashville, TN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
