He is survived by: his daughter Teresa Ann Compton; and his brother Leon D. Compton (Nancy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Kentuck Baptist Church - Building Fund.
