He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Fannie Inman Wood and John Henry Wood; his sons, Gary and Ricky Wood; and his siblings, Henry Wood, Jimmy Wood, Louise Vann and Loraine Anderson.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Kaye Wood of Danville, VA and Steve Wood of Chatham, VA; his brother Ronnie Wood of Danville, VA; and his grandchildren, J. P. Williams (Megan), Kristopher Stephen Wood and Lindsay Michelle Wood.
