It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Lee Venable Sr. of Danville, Virginia, born in Halifax, Virginia, who passed away on April 30, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Venable, Sr. and Annie Hankins Venable; his children, Shajn Venable, Walter Venable, Jr., Darnell Bradsher and Kirklen Venable; and his siblings, Lucille Rodgers, Ruth Coleman, Gracie Hartridge, Mary Edna Venable, Ann Venable, Rev. Harvey Venable, Richard Venable, Jr., Howard Venable, James Venable and Herbert Venable.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Cobbs Venable; his children, Anissa Cobbs of Danville, VA, Antwoine Venable of Danville, VA, Rahiem Venable of Danville, VA, Shawn Cobbs (Tiffany) of Danville, VA and Darryl Gunn of Charlotte, NC; and his brother Archie Venable (Lillie) of Danville, VA. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
