It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Payne (Danville, Virginia), who passed away on July 17, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thomas Payne and Carrie Wright Payne; and his wife Betty Dillion Payne. He is survived by: his daughters, Bonnie P. Mills (Warren) and Cindy P. Martin (Robert, III); his grandchildren, Cooper Martin, Brianna East, Nichole Wyatt and Josh Mills; his great grandchildren, Shiloh and River Wyatt; and his close friends, Shirley, Judy, Jerry and Herbert.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Cascade Fire Dept. or to Carroll United Methodist Church.
