He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Tatum Hylton, Sr. and Sally Soyars Hylton; and his siblings, Cora H. Hyler, Gladys H. Voyles, Iris H. Ware, Mabel H. Davis and Leonard Hylton.

He is survived by: his wife June Wall Hylton; his sons, Lynn Hylton, Jr. (Karen) and Ronnie L. Hylton (Angie); his siblings, Eual, James, John, Curtis, Marvin Hylton and Ellen H. Hyler; his grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Davenport (Quincy), Amitie Paige Hylton and Walker Lee Hylton; his great grandchildren, Sadie and Savanah Davenport; and his brothers, Ernest and Lawrence. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be sent to Bachelors Hall Fire Dept.
