He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Clay Hawkins, Sr. and Myrtle Nance Hawkins; his spouse Shirley Jean Jefferson of Danville; and his sisters, Marie Hawkins Dabbs and Nancy Hawkins Ramey.
He is survived by: his brother Darrell Hawkins (Teresia); his children, Debra Rust (David), Jeff Hawkins (Patty) and Todd Hawkins; his granddaughters, April Shelton (Joey) and Kayla Robertson (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Oaklyn, Oliver Robertson, Austin Hawkins (Journie), Ben Hawkins, Nick Hawkins and Emily Hawkins (Nathalie); his granddaughter Vallie; JJ Shelton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
