He was predeceased by: his father William Henry Barksdale; his stepfather Linwood Callands; and his siblings, Stanley Callands and Barbara Jean Tucker. He is survived by: his mother Ella Callands of Danville; his son Kevin Barksdale of Richmond, Virginia; his sisters, Jeanetta Cardwell, Linda Stephens and Loretta Mclean of Danville, Virginia; his stepsiblings, Patricia Barksdale, Julia Coles of New Jersey and Carl Barksdale of New Jersey; and his friend Erma Dunham. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins.
