He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Walker Cox and Lora Gay Cox Lester; his stepfather Carson Lester; his daughter Sandra Jones; his son-in-law Keith Stevens; his parents-in-law, Claude and Martha Bostic; and his sister Linda Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda NaDene Cox; his daughters, Kimberly Paisley (Troy), Sabrina Johnson-McKain, Melanie Stevens (Brian) and Cavenna Hunsaker (Michael); his son-in-law Robert Jones; his grandchildren, Stephen Johnson (Tommie Marie), Tyler Johnson, Justin Paisley, Jared Jones, Hunter Stevens, Cash Hunsaker and Haley Osborne (Dylan); and his siblings-in-law, Lovis Ball, Faye Stevens (Clarence), Yvonne Cook (Lance), Ray Bostic (Blendia) and Russell Bostic (Lillian). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
