She was predeceased by : her parents, Warren C. Showalter and Ina Rebecca Koogler Showalter; her son Mark Sanford; her in-laws, John R. and Amy Knicely; her sister Edith Good (Lewis); and her siblings-in-law, James Knicely, Joseph Witmer, Edwin Knicely, Dwight Knicely, Dorothy Knicely and Eunice Knicely.
She is survived by : her husband Joseph D. Knicely; her children, Karen Knicely of Dayton, Kathryn Good (Bruce) of Dayton, Eleanor Shank (Dale) of Bridgewater and Stuart Knicely (Martha) of Rockingham; her grandchildren, Luanna, Carlton, Rosina, Sonya Knicely, Christopher, Patrick, Veronica, Alexander, Madison Good, Jefferson Shank, Janine Knicely (Layne), Pamela Showalter (Joshua), Lenora and Elliott Shank; her siblings, Martha Knicely of Hinton, Betty Witmer of Port Republic, Mary Catherine Showalter of Rockingham, Reba Rhodes (Leroy) of Bridgewater, Ina Ethel Showalter (Kenneth) of Mt. Crawford, Lula Hofer (Paul) of Raymond, Sarah Showalter (Michael) of Bridgewater and Galen Showalter (Janet) of Dayton; and her sister-in-law Martha Knicely of Dayton.
