Jay Moyer Obituary

Jay Moyer, born on October 31, 1933, passed away on September 14, 2026. Jay leaves behind family members and others who acknowledge this loss. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen C. Moyer and Amanda Krupp Moyer; his former wife Joyce Marie Derstine Moyer; his granddaughter Sarah Moyer; and his brother-in-law Ralph Hunsberger.

He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Moyer, Brenda Moyer (Brian), Kerry Moyer, Sandra Nice (Scott) and Trena Schwartz (Jay); his sister Ina Hunsberger; and his grandchildren, Jason Moyer, Jesse Nice, Jacob Moyer, Josiah Moyer, Daniel Moyer, Joseph Moyer, Shayna Schwartz and Isaac Swartz. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Dayton Mennonite Church (4887 John Wayland Hwy, Dayton, VA 22821). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
