He was predeceased by: his parents, E. Leon Shirkey and Susie Mason (Thomas); and his stepfather H. B. Mason. He is survived by: his daughter Morgan Claytor (Paul); his siblings, Terry Shirkey (Carolyn), Roxanne Emswiler (Larry) and Denise Hisey (Riedel); his grandchildren, Hunter Bennett, Dawson Conner, Raelynn Conner, Calleigh Claytor, Isaiah Claytor and Zach Claytor; and his stepmother Louise Shirkey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
