She was predeceased by: her parents, Cam Wimer and Lillian Wimer (Moyers); her husband Arthur Stanley Thomas; her sons-in-law, Marvin Baker, III and Jon Steelman; and her siblings, Lois Eye, Lora Lee Young, Lucille Albright, Lorine "Ting" Lawson, Jo Landis, Faye McNett, Linda Knox and Cam J. Wimer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tamara Alston (Skip), Terri Steelman, Krista Baker (Paul Sharkey) and Kim Thomas; her grandchildren, Chad Webster (Sunny), Megan Webster, Benjamin Steelman (Bobbie), Gabe Steelman (Amanda), Matthew Alston and Hannah Alston; her great grandchildren, Mason Webster and Max Webster; and her siblings-in-law, Walter Knox III and Eleanor Wimer. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dayton Church of the Brethren (202 Main St, Dayton, VA 22821).
