With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roger Lee Simmers of Dayton, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 18, 2025 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Simmers, Sr. and Zorphia Ellen Simmers (Knicely); and his siblings, Shelva Simmers, Linda Allman, Richard, George Jr., Charles and Ronald Simmers.
He is survived by: his close friend Naomi "Jerry" Rosson; his siblings, Donnie Simmers (Cindy) and Carolyn Dickenson; and his siblings-in-law, Debbie Simmers and Sidney Allman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
