He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Edison "Red" Snell, Sr. and Eula Lee Ambrose Spruill; and his wife Patricia Woodard Snell. He is survived by: his stepmother Elizabeth Snell; his children, Kevin Snell (Dara), Cheryl Lepore (Michael) and Timothy Snell (Amanda); his grandchildren, Joshua Snell (Caitlin), Kristen Horst (Phil), Michael Tyler Lepore (Michelle), Samuel Snell and Leah Snell; his great grandchildren, Riley Snell, Harper Horst and Madeline Horst; his half-siblings, Kenneth Snell (Laura), Theresa Basnight (Donald) and Michael Snell; his nephew Jason Woodard; and his caregivers, Kim, Nancy, Malissa, Ronda and Patricia.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sturtevant Funeral Home (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's memory to Cradock Baptist Church.
