He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan Powell and Edna Rae Powell. He is survived by: his wife Susan McClain Powell; his children, William Allan Powell, III (Thea Krulwich) and McClain Susan Powell (Matt Olson) of Boston, MA; his grandchildren, Audre Krulwich-Powell, Samuel Krulwich-Powell and Antonio Olson; and his siblings, Brad Powell and Beth Yerxa.
