She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyrus Elmer and Annie Roberts (Branham); her husband Wendell Wright Crickenberger; her daughter Linda Sue Welch; her brother Randolph W. Roberts; her grandson Gary Shafer; and her children-in-law, Sylvia A. Crickenberger and Roy E. Shafer.
She is survived by: her children, Dallas W. Crickenberger (Sandy Brochu-Birckhead), Cyrus D. Crickenberger (Nancy), Tamlia Shafer-Morris (Edgar) and Lisa Crickenberger (Jamie Pincombe); her son-in-law Andrew Welch; her grandchildren, Brittany Kirschnick, Christopher Sprouse "Bubby", Cyrus Shafer "Bumper" (Charlene), Cyrus Daniel Crickenberger, Jr., Dana Nelson (Ricky), Makayleonna Welch, Ronnie Dudley (Brittany), Roy Shafer Jr. "Cricket" (Robin) and William Sprouse "Rudy" (Felicia); her sibling's children, Gary Roberts, Greg Roberts, Phoebe Herring and Crystal Booth-Hamilton; and her close friends, Greg Irving, Howard Shafer "Bobo" and Catherine Cook. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hardware Baptist Church (3452 Red Hill Rd, Charlottesville, VA 22903). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
