He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert G. Wharam and Evelyn Wharam; his stepfather Hubert Stinson; and his stepbrother Gordon Stinson. He is survived by: his wife Terry F. Wharam; his son Brett Gormus (Mackenzie); his grandson Edward Franklin Gormus; his siblings, Becky Wharam and Charles "Sammy" Wharam; his stepsiblings, Debbie Pence (Steve) and Jimmy Stinson (Roxanne); and his pets, Annabelle and Cozette.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dunkum Funeral Home (16923 Oak St, Dillwyn, VA 23936). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at the Arvonia Memorial Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Buckingham County Youth League.
