It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Oscar Tinsley Whitten Jr. of Dillwyn, Virginia, who passed away on February 25, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his wife Doris Blanche Whitten; and his parents, Oscar Whitten and Mabel Hines. He is survived by : his children, Robert (Robin) and Virginia Whitten; his grandchildren, Gary Lee (Megan), Michael Rojas and Rebecca Whitten; his stepson Jeff Conley; and his siblings, Joseph Whitten (Lila), Danny Whitten, Kenny Whitten (Ann), Mattie Shifflet, Debbie White, Frieda Crews (Robbie) and Denise Thompson (Mitch). He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
