He was predeceased by: his parents, Carrie Virginia Beach and Robert Benford Beach; and his grandson Brandon New. He is survived by: his wife Jo-Ann; his sons, Robert "Bobby" New (Rae) and Jeffrey (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Jaxon, Haley and Emma; his stepson Bruce Fitzgerald (Jakki); his stepgrandchildren, Hunter and Mollie; his stepchild Kyle (Rich Valtalaro); his stepgrandsons, Kenneth and Nicholas; his stepdaughter Amanda (Nate Miller); his stepgrandchildren, Ryan, Cody and Izzy; and his stepson Christopher Barton.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dunkum Funeral Home (16923 Oak St, Dillwyn, VA 23936). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
