He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Beers and Doris Beers; and his daughter Amy Jane Beers. He is survived by: his siblings, Judy Wilson (Ernie) of Kingsland, GA, Dick Beers (Diane) of St. Mary's Ga, Barbara Almeida-Beers (Robert) of Little Compton, RI and Carolyn Roy (Leo) of Southport, NC.; his former wife Jane McGinnis; his children, Jenny Francis (Charlie), Jessica Smith (TJ), Dana Beers (Beth) and Victoria Boeger (Steve); his grandchildren, Matthew Croxton (Nichole), Trevor Beers, Ian Beers-Jones, Peyton Francis, Will Bennett, Leah Boeger, Hudson "Huck" and Zane Beers; and his great grandchildren, Acelynn and Jackson Croxton.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Robert's memory to either the American Heart Association https://www.heart.org to support heart health research or to the Best Friends Animal Society https://bestfriends.org to honor his profound love for animals.
