She was predeceased by: her parents, William Mitchell and Mattie Mitchell; and her siblings, John, George Robert, Powell D. Mitchell, Elsie Rice, Ruby Cook, Mary Gotwald, Gladys Robertson Norton, Marjorie Mitchell, Ruth Mitchell and Naomi Mitchell.
She is survived by: her husband Dee Porter; her children, Rick Porter (Denise) and Cindi Melvin (Tom); and her grandchildren, Zachary Melvin (Sarah), Eli Melvin and Mattison Porter. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
