James William Draper Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 5, 2025, at the age of 84, James William Draper of Dinwiddie, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Orin Draper and Mary Stock Scott; his wife Shirley Price Draper; and his siblings, Kenneth R. Calkins and June H. Bartlett.
He is survived by: his children, Betty Gambucci, Debra Srock (Fred), David Draper (Sandy), Douglas Draper, Dwayne Draper, Louis "Eddie" Hanford (Ann), Pamela Robertson (George) and Robert Hanford; his grandchildren, Ashley (Robert), Brett, Elizabeth of George, III., Jacelyn (Jeremy), Jordan (Jason), Joshua (Nicole), Josh of Joseph, II., Michelle (Matthew) and Tabitha; and his great grandchildren, Christopher, Dillian, Layla and Tatum.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Smyrna Baptist Church (18971 Carson Rd, Dinwiddie, VA 23841).
