With sadness, we share the passing of John Wilson of Disputanta, Virginia. John passed away on May 8, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Wilson and Elizabeth Peters Wilson; his former wife Druzilla Wilson; his sons-in-law, George V. Sims and Mark Emil Tiderman; and his grandson George Aaron Sims.
He is survived by: his wife Lilian Cros Wilson; his children, Victoria Lynn Vaden (Danny Vaden), Sandra L. Sims, Bonnie A. Davis (Richard A. Davis), John A. Wilson, Jr. (Denise Wilson) and Peggy L. Tiderman; his stepchildren, Cynthia Cros White (Christopher) and John T. Cros; and his siblings, Benjamin B. Wilson, Jr. (Carol Wilson) and Jane Smyda. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and their loving spouses; 4 step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of John A. Wilson to the MS Society, Donate to the National MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Society.
