He was predeceased by: his parents, Linda Maxine Turner and Raymond Bryant Prater, Sr.; and his nephew Jeremiah D. Johnson. He is survived by: his close friend Jeanne-Marie McGahagin; his sister Sandra P. Johnson (Bryan); and his nephews, Stephen and Kevin Prater. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory (2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834).
