She was predeceased by: her father James Gholson Powell; her grandfather Dr. Robert Simmons Powell; and her husband Edward Randolph Burge, Sr.. She is survived by: her mother Mary Street Wilkinson Powell; her grandmother Ellen Powell; her children, E. R. Burge, Jr. (Diane) and Carolyn Burge Finch (Ronnie); her grandchildren, Charles B. Ward, Jr., Barbara McGarry (John), Beverly Roberts (Brian) and Bladen Clark Finch; and her great grandchildren, Allison Ward, Ashleigh McGarry, Quinn Roberts and Eli McGarry.
