She was predeceased by: her parents, Dock McClanahan and Flora Ethel McClanahan; her former husband Ellis Boyd; her husband Joseph Mitchell; her son Lester Boyd; and her siblings, Lucy Sutherland, Helen Boyd, Robert Jessie McClanahan, Charlie McClanahan, James McClanahan and Jerry Lee McClanahan.
She is survived by: her children, Eura Dixon of Bryan, OH, Nancy Boyd of Rural Retreat, VA, Jack Boyd of Ney, OH, Michael Boyd of Bryan, OH and Ellis Boyd of Bryan, OH; her stepsons, Von Mitchell and Greg Mitchell; and her sisters, Barbara Coleman, Ada Deel and Jenny Clevinger. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Grundy Funeral Home (22208 Riverside Dr, Grundy, VA 24614). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at the McClanahan Family Cemetery.
