It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Sue Smith of Doswell, Virginia, who passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shirley Sue Smith to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Isaac "Lindy" Smith; her parents, Ocie Mitchell Jones and Pattie Sue Walker Jones; and her siblings, William Jones, Stover Jones, Franklin Jones, Mitchell Jones, Ione Saunders and Elizabeth Jones.
She is survived by: her children, David L. Smith (Terri), Susan S. Ramsey (Luke), Charles M. Smith and Lisa C. Davis (Mike); her grandchildren, Matthew, Mallory, Melissa, Sarah, Jennifer and Bree; and her great grandchild Landon.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Taylorsville Baptist Church (15415 Taylorsville Rd, Doswell, VA 23047). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Taylorsville Baptist Church.
