She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford W. Tharpe and Dorothy T. Tharpe; her husband Wilson K "Sleepy" Hunter, Sr.; her son Wilson K. "W. K." Hunter Jr.; and her sisters, Carolyn Furr and Vickie Lawless.

She is survived by: her sons, David K. Hunter and Eric W. Hunter; her grandson David Keith Blackford; and her sister Samantha T. Good. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Drakes Branch Volunteer Fire Department.
