She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Montague Burton and Viola Gibson Burton; and her husband Robert L. "Bobby Lee" Shelton. She is survived by: her children, Timothy Lee "Tim" Shelton (Elaine) of Dry Fork, VA, Steve D. Shelton (Kim) of Dry Fork, VA, Laurie Van Der Hyde (Roy) of Chatham, VA and Lisa Tuck (Michael) of Christiansburg, VA; her niece JoAnne Owen (Claude); and also Jeannette Wilkes. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a special friend.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Highland Burial Park (3049 N Main St, Danville, VA 24540). Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hopewell Church (4585 Dry Fork Rd, Dry Fork, VA 24549).
Also, the family suggest that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dry Fork Volunteer Fire Dept., 328 Pleasant Gap Road, Dry Fork, VA, 24549 or to Hopewell Church, 4585 Dry Fork Road, Dry Fork, VA 24549.
