She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lewis Lakes and Ella Morris Lakes; her siblings, Raymond, Amon, Loretta, Dennie, Etta, Jay, Bette, Jewel, Thee and Dora; and her stepson Bobby Minton.
She is survived by: her husband Harry Phillip Minton; her children, Lisa Staton (Jeff), Tony Eckler (Sharon) and Leslie Goggin (Byron); her grandchildren, Chase Eckler (Natalie), Chandler Eckler, Lynnsey Mastenbrook (Cam), Jonathan Staton (Chloe), Suella Staton, Ella Goggin and Vance Goggin; her great grandchildren, Micah and Adley Eckler; her stepchildren, Darcy Minton, Denise Addonizio, Phil Minton and Michael Minton; her brothers, Jearl Lakes and Dale Lakes; her sister-in-law Dolly Little; and her friend Mae Raetzel.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home (494 E Plaza Dr, Mooresville, NC 28115).
