He is survived by: his wife Wanda Gates; his children, Roger Gates Jr. (Daja) of Dryden and Heather Ely (Joey) of Dryden; his grandchildren, Ethan Gates, Kaden Gates, Jayla Phillips, Whitney Rouse (Allan), Brennon Ely and Breanna Ely; his great grandchild Wrenlee Rouse; and his in-laws, Sissy Pennington, Shirley Wall, Peggy Nelson and Taz Nelson (Nancy). He is also survived by extended family members, special friends.
