We announce the death of Ann Elyse Marcus of Dublin, Virginia, who passed away on July 23, 2026, at the age of 82. Ann will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Alexander Helmbold, Jr. and Margaret Jean Lynch. She is survived by: her husband Richard Allen Marcus; her sons, Mark David Marcus (Susan), Jeffrey Scott Marcus and Steven Todd Marcus (Rose); her grandchildren, David, Kevin, Jeremy and Jenna (Chance Martin); and her brothers, Richard "Rick" Helmbold (Sally), James "Jack" Helmbold, Zoey and Baron. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
