He was predeceased by: his parents, William Warren and Melva McGuire Hixon; and his siblings, Shirley Smith, Ginger Teague, Jerry and William "Billy" Hixon.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Davis and Donald Hixon; his close friend Hazel Cline; and his pet Buford.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery (5550 Bagging Plant Rd, Dublin, VA 24084-3490).
