She was predeceased by: her parents, James A. Tolbert and Beulah Mabry Tolbert; and her husband Doug Anderson. She is survived by: her sons, Alan (Norma Anderson) and Daryl (Melissa Anderson); her grandchildren, Bethany, Thomas Anderson of Dublin, Samantha and J. T. Anderson of Riner; her siblings, James "Rooster" Tolbert, Wayne Tolbert of Dublin, Betty Ann Williams of Greenville, S. C., Mary Jane Ratcliff of Montvale, Evelyn (Harold Handy) of Dublin and Marie (Ronnie Billing) of Dublin; her brothers-in-law, Mel Anderson of Dublin and Leslie (Sally Anderson); and her caregiver Patti. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, that donations in Dorris' memory be given to New Dublin Presbyterian Church, 5331 New Dublin Church Road, Dublin, VA 24084.
