He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Martin Lyons and Magalene Hollandsworth Lyons; his wife Cheryl Howard Lyons; his siblings, Ted Drexel Lyons, James Edison "Buck" Lyons and Darlene Barker Francisco; and his grandson Brandon Tyler Whitaker.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sherry Lyons Whitaker (Richard Whitaker) and Karen Lyons Jones (JD Jones); his grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Whitaker, Zachery Reuben Whitaker, Garrison Michael Thomas and Hunter James Thomas; his great grandchildren, Brandon Edward Stevens, Roman Michael Thomas and Stella Grace Thomas; and his sisters, Lassie Wiladean Lindsey and Regina Lyons Talbert. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Pulaski Church of Christ.
