He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clifton Jones and Sylvia Sutphin Jones; his sisters, Joretta and Janice; and his daughter Joni Quesenberry.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Ward Jones of Dublin; his children, Robin Jones Davidson of Draper, VA, Judy Jones Harmon of Cincinnati, OH, Howard Clifton Jones of Gatlinburg, TN and Justin Ward Jones (Stephanie Lynn Jones) of Concord, NC.; his grandson Jackson William Jones of Concord, NC.; and his siblings-in-law, Jackie (Wanda Ward) and Elray Hanks of Harrisonburg, VA. He is also survived by six granddaughters, three nieces and one nephew.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Bower Funeral Home (1631 Bob White Blvd, Pulaski, VA 24301). A burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery (5550 Bagging Plant Rd, Dublin, VA 24084).
