Robert leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Robert’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Robert will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Hampton and Alice Jones Sager. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Bess Sagers; his sons, Judson Sagers (Kristin) and John Sagers (Wendy); and his children-in-law, Andrew Kenney (Kelly), Jeff Kenny (Kristen) and Jamie Kenny (Gina). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and special friends.
The military honors will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery (5550 Bagging Plant Rd, Dublin, VA 24084).
