He is survived by: his wife Michaela Byrd; his children, Jamie Byrd (Kim), Lindsey Groseclose (Jason) and Whitney Cockram (Drayn); his grandchildren, Eli Bryd, Marlee Bryd, Ireland Bryd, Tripp Bryd, Chase King, Channing Gallimore, Brittany Cockram (Ryan Collins), Dustin Potts (Lauren), Jessica Dunn (Cory), Matthew Cockram and Lakyn Cockram; his great grandchildren, Carson Collins, Conner Collins, Madeline Dunn, Bryton Dunn and Parker Potts; his mother Barbara Cumbe; his stepfather Douglas Linkous; his parents-in-law, Vernon and Sara Stanley; his siblings, Dwayne Linkous (Robin), Sarah Garmon (Steve), Cynthia Hurst (Josh) and Jill Linkous; and his brother-in-law Brian Stanley (Diane). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dublin Church of God (632 E Main St, Dublin, VA 24084). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Dublin Church of God.
