He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry Hicks and Beatrice Hicks (Ryan); his siblings, Joe Hicks and Connie Mullins (Hicks); his nephew Gary Mullins; and his brother-in-law Bryce Gillenwater.

He is survived by : his wife Dorothy Begley; his sister Faye Gillenwater (Hicks); his nephew Rick Begley; and also, Billy, Lisa and Chelsea Begley.
