She is survived by: her children, Robin Kern (Jeff) and David Salling; her grandchildren, Derek Kern (Amanda), Kayla Farthing (Justin), Melinda Kern (Derek), Christopher Salling and Sarah Kern (Justin); her great grandchildren, Beatrice Farthing and Rupert Farthing; her nephew Jackie Lee Jones (Melissa); her cousins, Mildred Lane and Jeanette Salling; and her friends, Emogene Quillen and Jeana Stoker.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grogan Park (203-213 Park Dr, Gate City, VA 24251).
