He is survived by : the mother of his children Linda Nickels; his children, April Lane (Travis Bledsoe) and James "Richard" Lane (Cathy); and his grandchildren, Kimberly Townsend (Robert), Jamie Lane (Tosha), Stephanie Lane (Chris), Morgan Tankersley, Aaron Tankersley, Justin Lane, Colby Griffin and Alyssa Potter (Griffin). He is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
