He was predeceased by: his parents, R. C. "Banner" Hass and Carol Jeanette Hass Arwood (Dingus); his stepfather Guy Arwood; his grandchildren, Sophia Grace Sexton, Corbin and Logan Burrell; and his siblings, Paula Bishop (Hass), Mike Hass and Dennis Hass.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Hass (Collins); his daughters, Cindy Waldrop (Jimmy), Christina Burrell and Tiffany Hass; his sister Shelby Tomlinson (Larry); his niece Dawn Strickler (Tom); his grandchildren, Hayley Waldrop, Shane Sexton, Kailyn Sexton and Grayson Sexton; and his great grandchild Emberly Burrell. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gate City Funeral Home (136 Beech St, Gate City, VA 24251). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel (136 Beech St, Gate City, VA 24251).
