With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Annette McCartney of Dumfries, Virginia, born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Annette may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Robert McCartney. She is survived by: her daughter Wendy Garilli (J. P.); her grandchildren, Zachary and Jessica; her brothers, Sanford Smith and Rodney Smith; and her husband Bill O'Toole. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (3200 Golansky Blvd, Woodbridge, VA 22192). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (18825 Fuller Heights Rd, Triangle, VA 22172).
