He was predeceased by: his father Teddy Monroe Spencer; and his brother T. J. Spencer. He is survived by: his mother Maria Spencer (Veltman); his stepsons, Justin Hall and Marty Hall; his siblings, Stephanie Garnett, Melanie Spencer and Ed Spencer (Debbie A. Spencer); his stepson Christopher Hall; his nephew Alex Garnett; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Hall, Marie Hensley, Gavin Hall and Devin Hall.
