She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Grant and Edna Alline Worley Hale; her husband Joseph Wesley King; her siblings, Nigal Cisco, Fleeta Newcomb, JoAnn Hicks, Jerry Hale and Rodney Hale; her sister-in-law Bobbie Hale; her parents-in-law, Norman F. and Lenna A. King; and her brothers-in-law, Bernie King, Coy King and Norman Cletus King.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy K. Wright (Jeff) of Buena Vista, Robin K. Thompson (Richard) of Eagle Rock, Tim King (Lindsay) of Eagle Rock, Chris King of Eagle Rock and Steven King of Eagle Rock; her sisters, Brenda Adcock of Eagle Rock and Dixie Hale of Clifton Forge; her sisters-in-law, Georgia Knighton (Larry) of Eagle Rock and Betty King of Covington; her grandchildren, Eric Wright, Allison Clark (Jonathan), Paul Thompson, Ashley Thompson and Jeremy Thompson; and her great grandchildren, Abel, Ainsley and Nicholas. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Galatia Presbyterian Church (78 Gala Loop Rd, Eagle Rock, VA 24085). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Judy's name to Eagle Rock Elementary School, 145 Eagles Nest Drive, Eagle Rock, VA 24085.
