With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Kouns Jr. (Eagle Rock, Virginia), who passed away on August 12, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Kouns, Sr. and Anna McKnight Kouns; his wife Margaret Maxine Hannon Kouns; his son Mark Kouns; and his siblings, Haskell Kouns, Theodore Kouns and Nora Lona Kouns Bailey.
He is survived by: his children, Eric Kouns (Shirley) of Columbus, OH, Tim Kouns (Maria) of Hjarup, Sweden, Kelcy Brewbaker (Stuart) of Lexington and Melissa Black (Gerald) of Clifton Forge; his daughter-in-law Diane Kouns of Eagle Rock; his brother Lloyd Lee Kouns of South Charleston, WV; and his grandchildren, Noah Surface, Adam Surface, Heath Kouns, Toby Kouns, Jeremiah Black, Holly Black, Sarah Beth Kouns, Sara Kouns, Carolina Kouns and Annie Kouns. He is also survived by twenty-two great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends.
